Word #48 of 100 – Intuition

Word #48. Intuition.

It was always easier to talk to my children about their inner voices than to listen to my own. “If you get that icky feeling when an adult approaches you in the park, leave immediately. Trust your gut that something’s not okay.”

In fact, I believe children are much closer to their inner wisdom than most adults. It’s uncanny how they either trust or don’t trust an adult based on some simple interactions. It’s why we have children interview our guides at Acton. They know. We listen to them.

The adult world gets noisy. We often don’t hear the signals our bodies are constantly beaming. So we must work to be quiet, set boundaries so others’ voices aren’t always the strongest to us, and learn to trust our inner wisdom.
