As we head into our final days of the summer session, I leave you with our tantalizing Overarching Question for next year:

Must a hero conquer fear to find true love and understanding?

Love of….learning, others, self, writing, algebra, chemistry, finance, history, freedom, spiders…punctuation…

Digging deeper …  Is fear the opposite of love? Must you understand another in order to love him or her? What does it mean to understand something? Is love a choice? What tools do you need to conquer fear? Is the Hero’s Journey ultimately a quest for love?

With all the talk about education and schools in this country, I don’t hear the word “love” mentioned very often.

Are we the only ones choosing to dive headfirst into what love has to do with it?

This will be fun.
